Happy Columbus Day from all of us at the Love My Texoma Home team! As this long weekend rolls around, Brian and Jonelle wanted to take a quiet moment to simply say thank you — to our clients, our neighbors, and everyone who follows along as we share our love for life around Lake Texoma. Whether you found your dream home with us this year, or you're still dreaming about it, we're grateful you're part of our little corner of the internet.

A Favorite Season on the Water

October has a way of slowing everything down out here. The mornings are cooler, the humidity has finally let go, and the trees along the shoreline are starting to turn those warm shades of gold and rust that make a boat ride or a lakeside walk feel like a reward. The summer crowds have thinned out too, which means quieter marinas, calmer water, and a little more elbow room at your favorite lakeside spot.

It's also, honestly, one of our favorite times to show property. Without the July traffic and the peak-season rush, buyers get a truer feel for a neighborhood's everyday pace, and sellers often find a more relaxed, unhurried group of showings. If a fall weekend at the lake happens to get you thinking about what it would be like to live here full-time, we'd love to talk — but honestly, no pressure. Today is just about the thank-you.

So however you're spending this long weekend, whether it's out on the water, raking leaves in the yard, or just enjoying a slower Monday, we hope it's a good one. Thank you for letting us be part of your Texoma story.

Warmly,
Brian & Jonelle Allen

Many buyers think so. Cooler weather, fewer crowds, and a more relaxed showing pace make October one of our favorite months to walk properties with clients.
